About BGPG

BGPG was inspired by an awareness that irreplaceable headstones and monuments are deteriorating at a rapid rate. By applying appropriate measures, this process can be slowed or reversed and unique personal data can be preserved. Often grave markers are the only source of information about the people, places, and events that have shaped communities.

BGPG connects preservation professionals with elected officials, community members and volunteers to protect burying grounds, cemeteries, and burial sites. It creates public awareness of these fragile resources and offers presentations and interactive workshops designed to encourage support from the community. Through education and demonstration, the BGPG preserves and records historic headstones and monuments for future generations.
